Diani Travel Centre offers you a trip to witness the wildlife in their natural habitats of several national parks and sanctuaries in Kenya: Tsavo East National Park, Tsavo West National Park, the Rhino Sanctuary, and Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. With a guide sharing their knowledge of the local flora and fauna with you, this trip will be the perfect chance to get better acquainted with nature.
You will be picked from your place then driven along Mombasa-Nairobi High way to the famous Tsavo East National Park. This is the biggest park in Kenya. You will enjoy a unique game drive from a trained guide. With beautiful landscapes and scenery en route to Aruba Dam, you will be able to see vast herds of red elephants grazing freely on the savannah grass of Yatta Plateau as well as buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, gazelles, lesser kudu, and greater kudu. At Aruba Dam, you will enjoy the wallowing of the red African elephant, a vast of over 500 species of birds.
Tsavo West, which is the western part of the entire Tsavo park, is unique in nature. The Mzima Springs which quenches the thirst of the people of the coast is the habitat of hippos and crocodile and various species of fish and the Shetani lava.
In Taita Game Sanctuary you will enjoy the view of the landscapes and escapades. The opportunity to have a night game drive where you will spot the rarely seen cats. At the lodge, you will have a chance to take your breakfast adjacent to a water well where animals come to quench their thirst all year round.
DAY 1: Diani to Tsavo East
Pick up from your respective hotel in the morning, and then drive to Tsavo East. Stop over for coffee and proceed to Tsavo East. You will enter the park and begin a game drive en route to Aruba Dam. This is the chance to see wild animals such as lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and giraffes among others.
Proceed with the game drive en route to Ashnil Aruba Lodge where you will check in and have lunch at around 13:00. Relax until 15:00 after which you depart for afternoon game drive until 18:30. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo East to West
Sunset finds you ready and out for your pre-breakfast game viewing drive. This is the appropriate time to spot the cats. You return to the base for breakfast before checking out. You will enter the Tsavo West and commence game viewing towards the direction of Rhino Valley. After checking in, you will freshen up and enjoy a buffet lunch. Here, laws of the jungle apply. Activities cease when the sun is up.
In the late afternoon, you will venture out to the Rhino Sanctuary with some game viewing en-route to try your chances at spotting this endangered species. It's game viewing with the throws of the sunset as you head back to your bases for dinner and overnight in Rhino Valley.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Saltlick
Sunset finds you ready and out for your pre-breakfast game viewing drive. You will visit the Mzima Springs and explore on foot this volcanic wonder marveling at the hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and tropical vegetation together with resident and migratory bird species. You return to the base for breakfast before checking out and proceeding further to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary driving through a distance of 80 kilometers. Arrive at Taita Hills Lodge for check in at around 13:00 where you will have lunch and relax until 15:00. Proceed with a game drive until 18:30 where you will drive back to Saltlick Lodge where you will have dinner and overnight (Saltlick Lodge).
Day 4: Saltlick to Diani
Wake up at around 05:30, have a cup of coffee, and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 08:30 followed by the last game drive and lunch at Voi town. Drive back to your hotel.
